Citilog is a company commtted to the creation of wood products from salvages and recycled wood. Their large variety of products include furniture, flooring, seating, fencing, decking, tables, doors, and framework. Not only does Citilog take wood from building sites they take trees that have fallen down or being removed for a construction project. Then they bring the wood to their mill where they make finished wood products. The products are then brought to a building site. This unique process is called full circle upcycling.
Citilog is self-certified wood and can contribute to LEED cerification points. The wood is not FSC or SFI certified because these organizations have guildlines for trees that have harvested in sustainably managed forests. USGBC recognizes Citilog's wood as a green product.
Citilog is located in New Jersey and have two affliate companies, CampusLog and CitiWood WORKS. The services they offer are site visit and tree analysis, material pick-up, finished product consultation, and delivery. I found this site extremely interesting and hope to find a company similar in the Midwest.
